Hello Hello crafty friends!
It feels like a long time since I last put up a blog post, even though its only been a bit over a week. If you follow me on Instagram (@jess_got_crafty) you will be able to catch up on what I've been up to in between blog posts.
I've been busy as a bee ( pun intended (>.<) ) crafting away with the super cute Honey Bee bundle from Stampin' up! This bundle is absolutely amazing and can be easily used for feminine, masculine and children's themed cards for all occasions.
I started off by getting to know the stamp set with this wreath card. By using sponge daubers I was able to achieve the two toned stamping on the flowers to make the wreath, and topped off with those super cute buzzing bees.
Next up I wanted to throw a big splash of yellow on the card because well... who doesn't think of yellow when it comes to bee's - am I right? So I used a colour combination of Smoky Slate, Basic Grey, and Pineapple Punch. I really LOVE how zesty and fresh of a yellow pineapple punch is! I paired the Honey Bee stamp set here with the Label Me Bold set for the textural background, to create this unbeelievably cute card (yes, another pun I couldn't resist!).
After having got to know the stamps a little more I decided to bring in the coordinating sale-a-bration DSP and this time I went with black and white theme with a pop of rainbow colour, and the detailed bee die cut image is just stunning.
Finally I wrapped up my week with this richly sponged honey-like background and gold embossed bee and beehive. A simple yet effective card which shows off the gorgeousness of the background and embossing.
A couple of video tutorials using the Honey Bee Bundle are now available on my YouTube channel - Check it out now!
