Timeless Tropical Bundle

Lately I have fallen in love with the Timeless Tropical Bundle. It's so fun to play with and it can create the most summery cards.

I've made a range of samples to share with you, and an awesome watercolouring video also.

I hope this gives you some inspiration!

Casing The Stampin' Up Make'n'Takes! Featuring the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set

Last year in November I attended a Stampin' Up convention for demonstrators, it was amazing! Funnily enough the event occurred on my birthday which made it so much more exciting.

During the event, we were provided with some supplies to craft together with some of the new products at the time. I loved the card layout so much as it is simple to do yet very effective.

So I recently decided to CASE the card - See below:

Isn't it so pretty!

This card features the Forever Blossoms stamp set, and the technique used is to stamp and colour directly onto printed paper. You can see the video tutorial below to see how I made it.

Bright, Happy Cards with a POP of Black & White!

For Ruth's (Artful Stampin) second challenge she suggested the use of something NEW!

What could be more new than a stamp set that is not even available for customers yet? This next card therefore features the Ornate Style stamp set.

First I have taken Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch and Lovely Lipstick inks, and made some fabulously bright and happy backgrounds with the stencils. Next I heat embossed the Ornate Style stamped images in black embossing powder for the focal points on the cards. I have finished off with sentiments from the Positive Thoughts stamp set which are white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

I hope you enjoy, and feel free to shop any of these products via my online shop HERE!

Happy Easter!

Hey Friends, Happy Easter!

I hope you have had a wonderful long weekend for Easter. Most of us has probably had to stay home in order to socially distance.

This weekend I've been able to spend some time crafting and making many beautiful cards. I have also been following along with Ruth from 'Artful Stampin' card making challenges this weekend.

Ruth's first challenge was to use a product that is old and hasn't had much use lately. For me this was a stamp set called Varied Vases.

So I decided to make this sweet eater card from the Varied Vases stamp set. I used the leaf outline as the base for the wreath, and filled in with a selection of the flower images. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips set. Finally I have finished off with some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

Cards With Scraps!

I often end up with numerous scraps and leftover bits and pieces on my desk which never ended up making it onto a card. So from time to time I grab some things together and see what 'scrappy cards' I can make up.

Today's card is one of those scrappy cards, what do you think?

Clean & Simple Card with Waterfront Stamp Set

I enjoyed stamping with the Waterfront Stamp Set so much that I decided to take the same concept from my previous card and highlight it in a clean and simple card.

Grapefruit Grove worked beautifully as a pop of colour to go with the primarily white card. I've also used the Coastal Weave embossing folder which is just beautiful.

How do you feel about clean and simple cards? I love to make cards with a lot of white space, though it can be a bit hard to stop overembellishing!

How To Use Your Printed Paper - One Layout, Two Ways!

Have you seen my YouTube playlist showcasing how to use printed paper in your card-making?

Too often we buy beautiful papers for scrap-booking, card-making and paper-crafting, yet we then seem to store it safely at home and forget to use it! Either we forget or we are scared to waste it, or we don't know what to do with it right??

Well that's why I decided to create a series of video tutorials to show you a range of ideas and card layouts which feature the gorgeous designer series papers.

The latest instalment was this one:

This card showcases the Tropical Oasis DSP and the Waterfront Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! You can purchase these products HERE

Check out the video here:

I then took the same layout and instead used the Country Club DSP to make some masculine versions. One layout - two ways!

And finally, I was able to use the scraps/off cuts to create this next card. A successful day of crafting I'd say!

Under My Umbrella!

The Under My Umbrella Stamp Set and coordinating Umbrella Punch is so much fun to play with!

I created this card using the Seaside Spray, Pineapple Punch and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends, don't they combine beautifully for some fun rainy day gear!

I've finished the card off with some of the Scalloped Linen Ribbon which I have cut in half lengthwise to be able to tie nicely into a bow. Check out the video below!
