Cactus Cuties!

A couple of fun cactus cards created with the Cactus Cuties stamp set and the Abstract Beauty cards & envelopes pack!

Remember, when you have a pack of printed cards & envelopes you don't need to restrict yourself to the products it was designed to go with! These cards & envelopes were part of a completely different style of products and colours but I thought the rustic black look on the card matched perfectly with my card to help the bright colours POP!

Time To Clear Out My Scraps!

It's that time again where I have a nuisance pile of scraps sitting on my desk and getting in my way! For some reason I seem to loose my crafty mojo when I have that pile of scraps cramping my space - so it's time to use them up!

I have decided to randomly glue them all down onto white card stock and make some fun backgrounds for cards. Once the backgrounds are complete I have embossed them with a gingham embossing folder to add a little bit more interest.

Finally I have adhered to grey card bases and finished off with a fun birthday sentiment.

What do you think? I hope I have inspired you to clear out your scraps and use them up!

Dancing Hippo!

I had some leftover hexagonal die cut shapes and wanted to use them up. Once I placed them on my card front it reminded me of those dancing arcade games! So I thought the new Hippest Hippos dancing hippo stamp would go perfectly for my card!

Fluffy Autumn Trees

It's been so cold and dreary here in Australia this week so I've gone with an autumnal colour combination for this card. I've paired the Painted Poppies and Beauty of Friendship stamp sets to create these fluffy tree tops!

It's really fun to look into your stash of stamps and see what combinations you can use to create different shapes of trees - why don't you give it a go!

Remember you don't need to get too extravagant with card making, you can keep things really simple with just stamps, ink and paper to create fun scenes - let the stamps do all the work for you!

Easy Cards With Patterned Paper

It's so easy to create gorgeous cards with the Awash In Beauty papers from Stampin Up.

The imagery in the paper is absolutely stunning, all you need to do is add a matting layer, a sentiment, and a touch of ribbon or any embellishments you like! So simple!

Fresh Cut Flowers

Having a play with the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set from Stampin' Up, in a fun colour combination!

I love these colours individually so I wanted to combine them and see how they play together. The colours are Orchid Oasis, Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana. I've also used vanilla for the stamping card stock for something different.

Helpful tip: If you don't have the perfect ribbon for your project, remember you can colour white ribbons with alcohol markers!

Demonstrator Training Blog Hop May 2022 featuring Hello Beautiful!

Thank you for joining us for the Monthly Blog Hop! I'm super excited to have you hop along and gather ideas and creative inspiration.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can jump from blog to blog easily. Make sure you check out all of the amazing projects!

This month, I have used the Hello Beautiful Bundle and the new 2022-2024 In Colours for my thank you cards.

The Hello Beautiful Bundle includes the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set and the Beautiful Shapes Dies. The stamp set includes a variety of abstract images that are designed to be stamped in groups, collaged, or repeated to make patterns and designs. There's a light texture on the surface of the stamps that will have a slightly watercolour look when stamped. A variety of greetings included in the set provide options to express gratitude, friendship and celebrations. With the coordinating Beautiful Shapes Dies you can cut out fun shapes including circles, hexagons, parallelograms and triangles. Layer with the stamped images or create repeating patterns! This bundle is SO fun to play around with and see what you can create!

I have also decided to showcase the new 2022-2024 In Colours this month. The introduction of In Colours are a wonderful way to freshen up your supplies with on trend colours, and this year Stampin' Up has not disappointed! All 5 of the new colours are fun and vibrant, and they play so well together as well as with our existing colour line.

For my project this month, I have cased the catalogue! I just loved the layout of this card and I thought the colour blocking concept would work wonderfully to showcase the new colours.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! As mentioned, this is a blog hop, so make sure you 'hop' along to all the blogs and check out all the amazing projects! Click on the links below to visit each blog.

Stack, Cut, Shuffle!

When you can't decide which pattern paper you love most, use the Stack, Cut, Shuffle technique!

First stack a few different patterns of paper on top of one another, then cut all of the pieces of paper at the same time, at various angles. Once cut, you can shuffle the patterns around to create this fun look!

This is the card that never ends... it just goes on and on my friends!!

Hey friends! Thanks for joining me again today!

Today I'm sharing a super fun card, called an Infinity fold or Never Ending card.

If you've never seen how this type of fun fold card works, I'd highly suggest you check out the video below - it's mind blowing!

I've seen a few tutorials around the internet for this type of card, however I struggled to find something that was universal and could be used in any measurements, and more specifically in metric measurements.

So I have created a video tutorial on YouTube and have published it below for you to follow. I hope this helps to take the mystery out of the Infinity fold and makes it simple for you to follow and adapt in any size. Check it out below!

I will provide the measurements for my card, but keep in mind that you can adapt these based on the instructions I provide in the video if you would like to make a different sized card.

For the card itself you will need 2 pieces of cardstock the same size, for my card I have used 10.4cm x 14.8cm.

You will need to score one piece of card on the short edge just before the 2.6cm mark, on both sides. Turn to the long edge, and cut in half at 7.4cm.

Then you will need to score the second piece of card on the long edge just before the 3.7cm mark, on both sides. Turn to the short edge, and cut in half at 5.2cm.

For the construction, it really is best to follow the video.

You now have 4 separate pieces of cardstock, but if you keep them together with each respective pair together, place one of the pairs directly on top of the other pair and adhere in the four corners.

Once adhered together you will see that the score marks allow the card to fold naturally, so fold and burnish on each score mark accordingly.

This is the card completed and ready for decorations!

Now for the layers - I will use photos for each section to explain each layer.

For the front panel, you will need (2) 4.9cm x 7cm and (4) 4.0cm x 3.4cm. You can use either cardstock or DSP - whatever you prefer!

For the first inside panels, you will require (2) 4.9cm x 7cm, (4) 3.4cm x 2.3cm, and (2) 4.6cm x 6.7cm white.

The second inside panels will need (2) 4.9cm x 7cm and (4) 3.4cm x 2.3cm.

Finally, on the back panel you'll require (2) 4.9cm x 7cm and (4) 7cm x 2.3cm.

And there you have it! You can now decorate with stamped images, sentiments and embellishments! Just nothing too bulky or it will interfere with the folding of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed this fun fold card today - I hope you give it a go.

Slide & Lock Fun Fold Cards!

I have created a YouTube tutorial to show you how to create a Slide & Lock fun fold card.

For the tutorial I have used the Robot Buddies card kit from Stampin' Up so the slide & lock card is an alternative project for the kit.

I made 3 different slide & lock cards in total, one feminine, one masculine and one kids! This design is so versatile and easy to replicate in any style!

Check out the video tutorial down below!!

Time for a Crazy Crafters card class!

I had an awesome time sharing these two pocket card tutorials at the Crazy Crafters card class on Zoom!

Each of these card designs is super fun and easy, and they both feature designer series paper! You can adapt these to become full cards with the pocket on the front, or if you want to be economical with your materials you can keep it as a single layered pocket.

This type of card layout can also be easily replicated in any style for any occasion. So versatile!

Thank you so much to Kylie Bertucci for having me lead the class!
